The Lincoln County Public Library Board of Trustees invites you to celebrate the works of Brookhaven photographer Bob Coke.

Bob Coke's intimate portraits and studies of the Preservation Hall musicians offer a fascinating glimpse into an essential chapter of New Orleans jazz history. His work from the 1960s not only showcases the musicians' virtuosity but also captures their humanity and the culture of the time. By focusing on the musicians in their prime, Coke’s photographs provide an invaluable document of a bygone era, preserving the essence of the performers and their community.

Join us for a gallery talk with David Kunian, curator of the New Orleans Jazz Museum at the Mint.

Enjoy a musical performance by Dr. Jessie Primer III, Chairman of the Music Department and Associate Professor of Music at Tougaloo College.
