Arlustra "Pap" Henderson, Jr.

- Began Law Enforcement career in Brookhaven (1970) as a patrol officer and soon was promoted to sergeant, lieutenant, and captain
- First African American to be appointed Assistant Chief of Police (1989 - served 12 years)
- Elected first African American Police Chief of Brookhaven in landslide vote in 2001
- Re-elected in 2005 and 2009 in unopposed elections
- Retired in 2013 after 40 years of law enforcement service
- Member of Mt. Wade Missionary Baptist Church
- Married to late Ella Johnson, 3 children, 6 grandchildren
