Dr. Albert L. Lott
- Born February 15, 1921
- Graduated Alexander High School at age 16 as valedictorian
- Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Alcorn A&M College in pre-med
- Graduate from Engineer Officers Training School, Fort Belvoir, Virginia as a second lieutenant
- Served during WWII at various army posts and in the South Pacific – discharged with the rank of first lieutenant
- Graduated Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee in 1946
- First African American physician to be appointed Staff Physician at hospital now known as King’s Daughters Medical Center
- Inducted to the Alcorn Hall of Honor in 1993
- Served on the Brookhaven City School Board
- Member of ASU Foundation, Meharry Medical College Alumni Association, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Brookhaven/Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce, Brookhaven Medical and Dental Association, NAACP
- Member of Bethel A.M.E. church and served on the Trustee Board
- “Dr. Albert L. Lott Appreciation Program” held at Alexander High School in1973
