- At the main library in Brookhaven, served as head circulation clerk and reference/interlibrary loan/genealogy clerk
- Received first “Employee of the Year Award” in 1983
- Retired from the library system in 2007 after 30 years of service
- Member of Bethel AME Church, serving as Sunday School teacher, stewardess, usher and Sunday School secretary
- 2 children, 2 grandchildren
